History

In the 1800's the Langston family was granted a 100 acre homestead from President Grant. Over the years the fertile river basin has produced apples, raspberries, beets, garlic, and pumpkins. Portions of the Lansgton homestead were sold off through the years to enable the building of homes and the Mariana Butte golf course. Eleven acres remained of the original homestead. Since 2010 we have been carrying on the tradition of farming on this fertile soil. along the beautiful Big Thompson River!

During the floods in 2013, we had 10,000 of our farm-grown pumpkins taken down the Big Thompson River with the floodwaters 6 - 10 ft above the property. When the floodwaters receded, we were left with a miniature version of the Great Sand Dunes across our 11 acre farm. We have been building up the soil ever since and are back to producing excellent pumpkins!
